Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17) [#WhateverYouDo #NameOfJesus #ThanksToGod]

Colossians 3:12-17
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Whatever we do, whether in word or deed, we must do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Whatever we do, no matter what it is, in word or deed, we must do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in dependence on Him, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE: You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him… (1 Peter 2:9) [#ChosenGeneration #RoyalPriesthood #HolyNation #HisOwnSpecialPeople]

1 Peter 2:4-10
4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,

“Behold, I lay in Zion
A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”

7 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,

“The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone,”

8 and

“A stone of stumbling
And a rock of offense.”

They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

We are:
1. chosen people / chosen race / chosen generation
2. royal priesthood
3. holy nation / consecrated nation
4. God’s special possession / special people for God’ own possession / God’s own special people

We must declare the praises of God who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light.
We mus proclaim the excellencies, the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections of God who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.
